Cllr James Tonkin, North Somerset Council’s executive member for transport, said: “I am delighted that we’re organising the awards this year. I’m looking forward to seeing a wide range of applications from across the West of England and celebrating the significant contributions to sustainable travel that are being made.”
There are five nomination categories to choose from:
- Long-term Commitment to Sustainable Travel
- Most Improved Workplace (small, medium, large)
- Best Motivational Campaign
- Most Innovative Sustainable Travel Measure and
- Sustainable Travel Champion(s).
The top accolade ‘Organisation of the Year’ will be picked from the pool of category winners.
Now in their sixth year, the awards are co-ordinated by Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol City, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire councils with more than 80 organisations receiving an award to date.
