MetroBus Works Update: W/C 27th March 2017

M32 Junction 3

Work to the southbound bus lane is drawing to a close. There will be overnight closures of the M32, Monday to Friday this week for surfacing, line marking and removal of the traffic management. Following this there will be further intermittent closures for signage, drainage, parapet terminals and commissioning. More details will be available nearer the time when exact dates are known. The new bus lane will remain closed until the speed cameras are installed in July

M32 New Bus Only Junction

The Bus Only Junction will be completed within the night time closures as detailed above. The junction will remain coned off until the Cribbs Causeway to Hengrove Park MetroBus services start.

Note: Highways England is replacing the central barrier on the M32 at Junction 2, Eastville viaduct. The work will start these week and last 11 weeks. This is not MetroBus works. For more details please contact: info@highwaysengland.co.uk

City Centre

The Baldwin Street Link bridging the city centre between Baldwin Street and St Augustine’s Parade will open this Sunday, April 2nd, weather permitting.

The construction hoardings around the Baldwin Street Link works have now been removed. This is to allow construction of the new link to progress.

New advanced-notice signage has been erected at key city centre locations to raise awareness of the upcoming changes to traffic movements when the new link opens.

Following the changes to traffic movements we will continue to monitor vehicle movements and traffic management to ensure that traffic flows effectively.

Work to remodel the Broad Quay and Marsh Street junction will complete before the Baldwin Street Link is opened.
