Cheltenham Road, Bristol, temporary traffic lights 26-30 July

Drainage works to prevent localised flooding in Montpelier are scheduled to start next week.

Update

Please note these works are now scheduled to take place from Thursday 29 July to Wednesday 4 August. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation throughout.

Bristol City Council is undertaking works at the junction of Cheltenham Road with Arley Hill and Bath Buildings to improve drainage.

Temporary traffic signals will be in place from 9:30am Monday, 26 July to 4pm Friday, 30 July, and Cheltenham Road northbound will be reduced to a single lane near the junction.

Delays are likely and those travelling in the area are advised to allow extra time for their journey and consider alternative routes. The works have been scheduled to take place during school holidays to minimise disruption.

Access to local businesses will be maintained and there will be minimum disruption to pedestrian routes.
