Road Safety Week celebrated at Bristol schools with a commitment to active transport and 20mph

Pupils, parents and staff at the Bridge Learning Campus and New Fosseway SEN School participated in a Road Safety Week event organised on 23 November with the charity Brake which involved celebrating walking, cycling and slower driving speeds. The event counted with the support of Bristol City Council, Living Streets and Sustrans.

Children and staff were able to take part in Dr Bike workshops to fix their bikes and scooters, and fun themed games that promoted safer speeds and active transport.

With the help of Bristol’s Better at 20 and Living Streets, a students camera crew interviewed adults on how they travelled to school and their views on traffic speed.
