    A landslip has been found in the Wellington area.

    Network Rail are working to rectify the issue but the line is expected to remain closed until at least Friday 29 March.

    Rail replacement transport is in operation, calling at all stations between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury.

    A partial train service has now resumed calling at all stations between Wolverhampton and Shifnal.

    You can use your ticket on Transport for Wales services between Shrewsbury and Crewe in both directions, at no extra cost.

    Road transport is in operation between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton, in both directions.

    Transport for Wales

    Trains from Holyhead, Pwllheli and Machynlleth towards Birmingham will terminate at Shrewsbury. Trains from Birmingham towards Holyhead, Pwllheli and Machynlleth will start at Shrewsbury.

    Road transport will be provided between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton.

    Until Sunday 24 March, you may use your ticket on the following services via any reasonable route at no extra cost:

    West Midlands Railway

    Rail replacement transport is in operation between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton in both directions.

    A partial train service has resumed calling at all stations between Wolverhampton and Shifnal. Trains between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury will be terminated at / started back from Shifnal.

    Saturday and Sunday only:

    Trains will be retimed by a few minutes between Sheffield and Chesterfield.

    Northern:

    Services between Leeds and Nottingham will start / terminate at Sheffield. A replacement bus service will operate between Sheffield and Chesterfield. You should use East Midlands Railway services between Chesterfield and Nottingham.

    East Midlands Railway:

    Saturday and Sunday:

    A reduced service of one train per hour will run between Sheffield and Bedford. This is due to further engineering work between Bedford and Luton. You can find out more about this here.

    Monday to Friday:

    A reduced service of one train per hour will run between Sheffield and London St Pancras International, calling only at Chesterfield, Derby and Leicester.

    The 21:48 and 22:49 London Paddington to Swansea will divert between Cardiff Central and Bridgend (via Barry – not calling) arriving / departing Bridgend and beyond later than normal.

    Tuesday to Friday

    The 03:46 Swansea to London Paddington will depart earlier at 03:41, arriving / departing Neath, Port Talbot Parkway and Bridgend earlier than normal before being diverted between Bridgend and Cardiff Central (via Barry – not calling). Normal timings departing Cardiff Central and beyond.

    • The 05:55 Plymouth to London Paddington service will start from Taunton, then run as normal.
    • The 06:00 London Paddington to Penzance service will call additionally at Menheniot.
    • The 06:37 Plymouth to London Paddington service will start from Newton Abbot, then run as normal.
    • The 06:44 Exeter St.David’s to Cardiff Central service will start from Plymouth and will connect at Exeter St.David’s into the 05:33 Plymouth to London Paddington which will start from Exeter St.David’s.
    • The 06:50 Bristol Temple Meads to Penzance service will NOT call at Devonport or Menheniot.
    • The 07:40 Penzance to Cardiff Central service will start from Plymouth. A separate train will operate at 07:40 from Penzance to Plymouth to connect into this train at Plymouth.

    CrossCountry:

    Trains will be retimed by a few minutes between Sheffield and Chesterfield.

    East Midlands Railway:

    Saturday and Sunday:

    Replacement buses will run between Chesterfield and Stockport, and between Sheffield and Stockport. These buses will not call at any intermediate stations.

    For stations between Stockport and Liverpool Lime Street, you should use Northern or TransPennine services to complete your journey.

    Saturday:

    Trains that usually run between Norwich and Liverpool Lime Street will run between Norwich and Sheffield.

    The 06:45 and 07:40 Sheffield to Norwich services will start from Nottingham, and the 08:45 Sheffield to Norwich service will start from Chesterfield.

    The 06:36 Nottingham to Sheffield service will terminate at Chesterfield, and the 07:02 Derby to Sheffield service will not run.

    Sunday:

    Trains that usually run between Norwich and Liverpool Lime Street will run between Norwich and Nottingham, and between Nottingham and Sheffield. These trains will run to an amended timetable.

    Northern:

    Saturday before 08:00 and after 20:00; and Sunday before 09:30.

    Between Sheffield - Hull and beyond: Buses will replace trains between Sheffield and Doncaster.

    Between Sheffield - Retford / Lincoln: Buses replace trains throughout.

    Between Sheffield and Leeds via Moorthorpe: Buses will operate between Sheffield and Moorthorpe.

    Between Sheffield and Leeds / Huddersfield: Trains will terminate / start at Barnsley. Buses will be provided between Sheffield and Barnsley / Huddersfield / Leeds.

    All day Saturday and Sunday:

    Between Sheffield and York: Buses will be provided between Moorthorpe and York.

    Between Leeds and Nottingham via Sheffield: Buses will be provided between Sheffield and Chesterfield, you should use East Midlands Railway between Chesterfield and Nottingham.

    Between Sheffield and Manchester Piccadilly: Trains will start from New Mills Central. Buses will be provided between Sheffield and New Mills Newtown via New Mills Central. Edale will be served by a mini-bus shuttle to/from Hope.

    TransPennine Express:

    Trains between Sheffield and Manchester Piccadilly will be diverted to run on an alternative route, with trains running once every two hours.

    An hourly shuttle service will run between Doncaster and Cleethorpes. Two trains per hour will run between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street (hourly on Sundays).

    Replacement buses will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield.

    A replacement bus service will operate between Charlbury, Kingham, Moreton-in-Marsh, Honeybourne and Evesham.

    Road journey time from Charlbury to Evesham is 105 minutes. A limited number of buses will also call Shipton. The 17:34 London Paddington to Hereford will depart earlier at 17:32 and will divert between London Paddington and Worcester Shrub Hill. It will not call Oxford and stations to Worcestershire Parkway. It will call additionally to pick up only at Didcot Parkway, Swindon and Cheltenham Spa.     The 05:23 Hereford to London Paddington will divert between Worcester Shrub Hill and Reading. It will not call Worcestershire Parkway and stations to Oxford. It will call additionally at Cheltenham Spa, Swindon and Didcot Parkway. A separate train will operate from Oxford to Reading and London Paddington. Combe, Finstock, Ascott-Under-Wynchwood and Shipton – Morning & Evening services:

    The 16:58 London Paddington to Great Malvern (terminating Charlbury) will call additionally Combe and Finstock. Connects at Charlbury for road transport to Ascott-under-Wychwood, setting down only at Shipton, Kingham and Moreton-in-Marsh.

    The 17:14 Didcot Parkway to Moreton-in-Marsh will terminate Oxford.

    Amended evening services between Slough and Windsor & Eton Central on Sunday 31 March

    Engineering work is taking place on 2 out of 4 tracks between Slough and Reading, closing some lines.

    As a result the following amendments will apply:

    • The 19:18 Windsor & Eton Central to Slough service will depart earlier at 19:14.
    • The 19:28 Slough to Windsor & Eton Central service will depart at 19:32.

    Long distance services between London and Devon / Cornwall will be diverted to run on alternative routes, not calling at stations via Newbury / Westbury. These trains will be retimed to run earlier or later than usual.

    Additionally, trains between London Paddington and Weston-super-Mare will be amended to run between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads only.

    Buses will replace trains between:

    • Westbury and Frome.

    Engineering work is taking place between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway, closing 2 out of 4 lines.

    High Speed Services:

    From London Paddington:

    Most trains from London Paddington to Swansea/Carmarthen will depart 2 minutes earlier than normal.

    Some trains from London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads will not run.

    Most fast trains from London Paddington to Swindon (some beyond) will depart earlier and will call additionally Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford.

    Trains from London Paddington to Exeter St Davids / Plymouth / Penzance (also diverted) will operate in revised timings. Most will depart earlier than normal.

    Most fast trains from London Paddington to Oxford will not run.

    Most trains to Worcester / Great Malvern/Hereford will depart 2 minutes earlier than normal and will not call at Radley. (Additional trains will operate from Didcot Parkway and Radley to Oxford).

    17:33 London Paddington to Cheltenham Spa will start from Swindon.

    To London Paddington:

    Trains to London Paddington will arrive London Paddington in revised timings, most later than normal.

    Some trains from Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington will not run.

    Most fast trains from Oxford to London Paddington will not run.

    Most trains from Hereford / Great Malvern / Worcester to London Paddington will not call at Radley. (Additional trains will operate from Oxford and Radley to Didcot Parkway).

    Most fast trains from Swindon to London Paddington will call additionally Twyford, Maidenhead and Slough. Some will operate in revised timings.

    17:00 Cheltenham Spa to London Paddington will terminate Swindon.

    Local Services:

    For most of the day the hourly service between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway will operate between Reading and Didcot Parkway only.

    The hourly service of fast trains between London Paddington and Swindon (some beyond) (operating in revised timings) will call additionally Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford.

    Buses replace late night trains between Newbury and Bedwyn from Monday 1 to Thursday 4 April

    The 21:53 and 22:47 Newbury to Bedwyn will not run, and will be replaced by road transport calling at all stations.

    The 22:30 London Paddington to Bedwyn will terminate at Newbury. Road transport from Newbury, calling at all stations to Bedwyn.

    The 22:25 Bedwyn to Newbury will not run and will be replaced by earlier road transport, calling at all stations.

    The 23:17 Bedwyn to Reading will start from Newbury. Earlier road transport will run from Bedwyn, Hungerford and Kintbury to Newbury to connect into the train. There will also be road transport at 23:38 from Bedwyn to Reading, calling at Hungerford and Kintbury, then setting down only at Newbury, Thatcham and Reading.
