    Engineering work is taking place between St Austell and St Erth and between Truro and Falmouth, closing all lines.

    CrossCountry:

    No trains will run between Plymouth and Penzance. You should use Great Western Railway replacement bus services between these stations.

    Great Western Railway:

    An amended timetable will be in operation, most trains will start / terminate at Plymouth, a limited service will extend to St Austell.

    A rail shuttle service will operate (half-hourly) between St Erth and Penzance. (St Erth - St Ives trains will operate normally).

    Replacement buses will operate between St Austell and Penzance:

    (Hourly) Calling St Erth and Penzance.

    (Hourly) Calling Truro, Redruth, Camborne, Hayle, St Erth and Penzance.

    At St Erth:

    Buses from St Austell to Penzance will stop to set down only; buses from Penzance to St Austell will stop to pick up only.

    Trains between Truro and Falmouth Docks will not run and will be replaced by buses throughout.

    Buses will operate half-hourly and will call all stations, except that for most of the day Perranwell will be served on an hourly basis only.

    Tuesday to Friday:

    21:45 Penzance to London Paddington “Night Riviera” Sleeper service will start Plymouth.

    23:45 London Paddington to Penzance “Night Riviera” Sleeper service will terminate Plymouth.

    • Abbey Wood to Heathrow T4 will be reduced to 2 trains per hour.
    • Maidenhead, Burnham, Slough, Langley, West Drayton, Hanwell and Acton Main Line stations will have a reduced service of 2 trains per hour.
    • Hayes & Harlington, Southall and Ealing Broadway will be reduced to 6 trains per hour.
    • West Ealing will be reduced to 4 trains per hour.
    • Services to / from Reading will now call at Iver.

    Great Western Railway:

    Saturday:

    • The 23:45 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington will terminate Ealing Broadway.

    You should use London Underground services between Ealing Broadway and Central London.

    Sunday morning:

    • The 06:20 Reading to London Paddington will operate later than normal throughout.
    • The 06:38 London Paddington to Reading will start from Ealing Broadway.

    Sunday:

    Trains to / from London Paddington will be retimed to depart up to 10 minutes earlier than usual. Services will also run to an amended timetable throughout the day.

    Heathrow Express:

    Services will start up later than normal. Then for much of the day trains will operate at a reduced frequency (every 30 minutes).

    (Additional shuttle trains will operate at certain times of the day between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 5).

    • The 07:55 Swansea to London Paddington service will start from Cardiff Central. An earlier rail replacement bus service will run between Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot Parkway, Bridgend and Cardiff Central to connect with the train.
    • The 08:58 (starting at 09:04) Bristol Parkway to Swansea service will terminate at Cardiff Central. A rail replacement bus service will run direct between Cardiff Central and Swansea.
    • The 21:45 London Paddington to Swansea service will terminate at Cardiff Central. A rail replacement bus service will run between Cardiff Central and Bridgend, Port Talbot Parkway, Neath and Swansea.

    The following trains will not run:

    Overrunning engineering works near Dore is causing disruption to journeys in the Sheffield area. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

    East Midlands Railway:

    What has happened? Engineering works have not been finished on time at Dore. This is between Chesterfield and Sheffield and is disrupting trains on the London St Pancras International/Nottingham/Sheffield and Liverpool Lime Street/Nottingham/Norwich routes. At the moment Network Rail don't have an estimated as to when we will be given the line back.

    How does this affect my train? This will be affecting services running between Chesterfield and Sheffield in both directions. Please be aware trains may be cancelled or diverted between Chesterfield and Sheffield at short notice through the day. This may continue for the rest of the day. How do I get where I need to be? You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 2 hours or more. We are sorry for the delay to your journey today. East Midlands Railway are currently looking at alternative arrangements to keep you on the move. Please remember that this can take time and be assured that the team are working tirelessly to arrange this as quickly as possible for you. Rail replacement buses are running between Chesterfield and Sheffield. East Midlands Railway are also looking into rail replacement buses to move customer from Sheffield -Stockport - Manchester. Ticket restrictions have been removed so you can use your Advance purchase ticket on other services at no extra cost. Trains are likely to experience extended delays or alterations. You should use alternative routes which will be most comfortable and quickest way to get where you need to be. You may travel via the following alternative routes: This alternative route option is available in the opposite direction too. Don’t worry about your ticket, arrangements have been made with other train companies for you to travel with your original ticket.

    Customers travelling from Derby to Sheffield You may use your ticket at no extra cost to travel between Derby and Sheffield with CrossCountry services. Customers travelling from Nottingham to Sheffield You may use your ticket at no extra cost to travel to Nottingham to Sheffield via Derby with Northern services. Customers travelling to Sheffield - London You may use your ticket at no extra cost to travel to Doncaster from Sheffield, where you should change for a train to London Kings Cross. It is likely to take between 2 and 2.5 hours to complete this journey.

    LNER, who run the trains between Doncaster and London Kings Cross recommend booking a seat reservation. This can be done up to 5 minutes before the train departs at lner.co.uk/travel-information/make-a-reservation/ Visit eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk/travelling-via-kings-cross for lots of useful information about what to expect when travelling via London Kings Cross.

    Customers travelling Sheffield to Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool You may use your ticket at no extra cost to travel to Leeds from Sheffield with Northern or CrossCountry and then with TransPennine Express for onward services to Manchester and Liverpool. These arrangements will remain in place until the line re-opens and the train service recovers. Customers may also use their tickets for today to travel tomorrow on the affected routes at no extra cost.

    Northern:

    Effect on service:

    Train services are now able to run between Sheffield and Meadowhall / Leeds / Hull (in both directions).

    • Train services are able to run between Sheffield and Nottingham via a diversionary route - they will not be able to call at Dronfield
    • Train services are unable to run between New Mills Central and Sheffield in both directions

    Alternative travel suggestions:

    Customers at Sheffield for Manchester can travel on a Northern service to Leeds and change for a connecting train towards Manchester Victoria.

    Customers at Manchester can travel on a Northern service from Manchester Victoria to Leeds and change for a connecting train towards Sheffield.

    Northern ticket holders have acceptance on:

    • Supertram services between Sheffield and Meadowhall/Rotherham.
    • East Midlands Railway between Nottingham and Sheffield (via a diversionary route)
    • CrossCountry between Leeds and Sheffield in both directions
    • TransPennine Express via any reasonable route
    • Metrolink between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria in both directions

    Any ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption.

    Road replacement transport:

    Road replacement transport has been requested to operate between Sheffield and Nottingham.

    • 11:45 Nottingham all stations to Sheffield provided by Amans Travel

    To assist customers to complete their journey, road transport has been provided between Sheffield and New Mills Central in both directions calling at Sheffield, Dore, Grindleford, Hathersage, Bamford, Hope (Derbyshire), Edale, Chinley and New Mills Central:

    • 12:30 New Mills Central and Sheffield calling at New Mills Central, Chinley, Edale, Hope (Derbyshire), Bamford, Hathersage, Grindleford, Dore and Sheffield
    • 12:15 Sheffield and New Mills Central calling at Sheffield, Dore, Grindleford, Hathersage, Bamford, Hope (Derbyshire), Edale, Chinley and New Mills Central

    • Abbey Wood to Heathrow T4 will be reduced to 2 trains per hour
    • This means a reduction in service on the West
    • Maidenhead, Burnham, Slough, Langley, and West Drayton will be reduced to 2 trains per hour
    • Hayes & Harlington, Southall and Ealing Broadway will be reduced to 6 trains per hour
    • Acton Main Line, West Ealing and Hanwell WILL NOT get a service

    • The 23:45 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington will terminate Ealing Broadway. You should use London Underground connections from Ealing Broadway to Central London.

    Sunday:

    • The 06:38 London Paddington to Reading will start from Ealing Broadway. You should use London Underground connections from Central London to Ealing Broadway.
    • The 06:20 Reading to London Paddington will terminate at Ealing Broadway. You should use London Underground connections from Ealing Broadway to Central London.

    Heathrow Express:

    Sunday only:

    Services will not run until approximately 07:20.

    High Speed Services:

    From London Paddington:

    Most trains from London Paddington to Swansea / Carmarthen (terminating /starting Cardiff Central) will depart up to 10 minutes earlier than normal.

    After 15:00, most trains from London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads (a few beyond) will depart up to 5 minutes later than normal.

    Most fast trains from London Paddington to Swindon will depart earlier and will call additionally Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford.

    Some trains from London Paddington to Exeter St Davids routed via Newbury will depart up to 3 minutes earlier than normal.

    Most fast trains from London Paddington to Oxford will not run.

    Most trains to Worcester / Great Malvern / Hereford will not call at Radley. (Additional trains will operate from Didcot Parkway and Radley to Oxford).

    To London Paddington:

    Trains to London Paddington will arrive London Paddington in revised timings, most later than normal.

    Most fast trains from Oxford to London Paddington will not run.

    Most trains from Hereford / Great Malvern / Worcester to London Paddington will not call at Radley. (Additional trains will operate from Oxford and Radley to Didcot Parkway).

    Most fast trains from Swindon to London Paddington will call additionally Twyford, Maidenhead and Slough. They will operate in revised timings.

    Local Services:

    For most of the day the hourly service between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway will operate between Reading and Didcot Parkway only. The hourly service of fast trains (operating in revised timings) between London Paddington and Swindon will call additionally Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford - see also above.
