Major Updates

The Wheels to Work scheme helps you access job fairs, trainings, interviews or supports travel during the first month of your new job. We work in partnership with organisations and charities in North Somerset that already provide support to people who are looking to start, change or return to work.

Wheels to Work offers

If you are 16 and over, live in North Somerset and struggle to get to interviews, training or work – we can help

  1. Bus tickets

Free bus travel across Weston-super-Mare or the West of England for the journeys you need it for.

  1. Bicycle loan

Borrow a bike for free: Folding, hybrid or electric loan bikes are available for up to 4 weeks. Request a voucher from a Wheels to Work partner organisation which entitles you to a free loan bike from The Bicycle Chain in Weston-super-Mare. Simply phone the shop on 01934 629370 and agree a date and time to pick up your bike.  Do not forget to take your completed voucher and a photo ID. No deposit is required.

  1. Adult cycle training

Free adult cycle training is available to help you start cycling or improve confidence on the roads. Our trainer can offer up to two 1 hour sessions, delivered either one-to-one lesson, with a partner or in a group.
