Group Cycle Training for employees
Help your employees build the skills and confidence to make more journeys by cycle with Group Cycle Training for Adults, delivered by Life Cycle’s team of qualified cycle instructors.
These practical sessions are a great way to improve staff wellbeing and support your business in meeting active travel and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals.
About the session
Your group is entitled to three hours free Cycle Training funded by Bristol City Council. Life Cycle is flexible with delivery formats; our standard model is to run two 1.5-hour sessions. This model allows each participant adequate time to develop skills in a group setting with their instructor. The maximum group size for one instructor is three participants. Life Cycle will work with you to organise multiple group sessions, ensuring your workforce has the opportunity to attend.
In your sessions you will cover:
- Preparing to cycle – learn how to check yourself and your bike.
- Learn the basic skills to cycle on the road – where to position yourself, how to communicate with others, stay aware, and know who has the right of way.
- Advanced on road training – how to navigate complex environments such as bus lanes, multilane roads, filtering, roundabouts, sharing the space with others and route planning.
To develop their skills and confidence further, participants can refer themselves for a one-to-one session with an instructor on Life Cycle’s Adult Cycle Training page.
