Work to install sliding security barriers in Upper Borough Walls is nearing completion and the next phase of the Bath City Centre Security Scheme is set to start in Lower Borough Walls.

It’s good news for Chew Valley and Paulton residents as the first WESTlocal buses are driving into their area and will start serving locals next week (next Monday 8 April 2024). Mayor Dan Norris is urging residents to “get on board” to make the new services a success ahead of Monday's launch of the “WESTlocal: X91 Chew Valley Sprint” and "WESTlocal: 2V Two Valleys".
Works to install double yellow line markings on Keynsham High Street between the cycle lane and carriageway and a broken white line at the edge of the cycle lane will be carried out overnight tonight (April 11).
Bath & North East Somerset Council is advising people to plan their journeys between 15th – 20th April when work to resurface Bath Hill in Keynsham is carried out. Works are set to begin around 7pm on Monday 15th April and are expected to be complete by Saturday 20th April, depending on weather. A full road closure will be in place between 7pm and 7am each day.
It's yet more good news for cyclists and walkers as another £850,000-plus to support new schemes to encourage more people to leave the car at home has been secured by the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, which is led by Mayor Dan Norris
