Birthday buses are back: free travel and new offers

Free Birthday Bus travel returns across the West of England today, 1 December – with new freebies and discounts at shops, restaurants, and attractions across the region for Birthday Bus pass-holders.

Residents can once again enjoy unlimited free bus travel throughout the month of their birthdays, as announced by Dan Norris, the Mayor of the West of England, on 28 October.

Celebrating the launch, Mayor Dan Norris, who leads the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, said:

“1.2 million free journeys were taken thanks to Birthday Buses last year. From today, free bus travel is back for another twelve months!

“This year, Birthday Bus pass-holders also have access to exclusive offers at some of the West of England’s very best attractions and businesses – with even more coming soon. Some brilliant local businesses are taking part, so be sure to take a look on BirthdayBus.co.uk when signing up for your free month of bus travel.

“Many happy returns – and singles!”

Liam Tolhurst, Deputy Director – Visitor Experience and Operations at Brunel’s SS Great Britain, said:

“We’re delighted to be offering a Birthday Bus discount for locals which continues to include a year of unlimited visits. We are excited to welcome more of our local communities aboard and we really value their support as a charity.”
