Workshops involving businesses, residents and community groups will be held to hear views and improvements that could be made to develop and create a new set of designs for the area. Local residents and businesses will receive an invitation to the first workshop in October, with further events planned as part of the design process.
These community events are the first step in making positive changes to Worle High Street and the surrounding areas.

The High Street has been identified as a road with significantly high numbers of accidents compared to other areas in North Somerset, with figures also showing that a lot of vehicles use it as a commuter road. We want to improve safety and make enhancements that benefit the entire community.
This is an opportunity to be part of a positive change for the area. We want to work with residents and businesses to develop these plans together to develop a new plan that will take make positive changes to Worle High Street
Once the early designs are created with the local community, the plans will go to a larger public consultation spring 2024.
Funding is available through the Bus Service Improvement Plan to deliver a scheme that supports the use of public transport whilst also giving the opportunity to address a number of issues in the local area. Plans will not solely be based on bus usage, but also on how pedestrians, mobility users, cyclists and motorists utilise the area.

Bath & North East Somerset Council is inviting residents, businesses and visitors to share their views on the proposed Bath Walking, Wheeling and Cycling Links (BWWCL) scheme.
From 21 October to 15 November people will be asked for their views on initial ideas that will inform where new homes, community spaces, businesses, walking and cycling routes, roads and greenspaces could go within Western Harbour.
Local residents across the region will be able to travel for free as new community-designed WESTlocal bus services hit the roads from Sunday 1 and Monday 2 September onwards. The launch is being marked with two week’s free travel on the eight new bus routes.
Works to install a new raised zebra crossing, widen footways and resurface the highway in Lansdown Road, Bath have been completed.
