Proposals to seek £5.2 million funding for making walking and cycling easier in eight areas across Bristol will be considered by Bristol City Council’s Cabinet next week.
It is good news for walkers and cyclists as another £680,000 has been secured by the West of England Combined Authority, led by Metro Mayor Dan Norris.
A major milestone has been reached in the work to stabilise Cumberland Road, which will enable Bristol’s Chocolate Path to reopen by the end of May.
Some services within the region will be changing from the 22nd January 2023.
Three schools in Bristol are taking steps to improve safety, reduce congestion and improve air quality outside their gates by proposing to join the council’s School Streets programme.
