Mayor welcomes £42 million for buses
Millions of passengers in the region are set to benefit from faster, cheaper and more reliable buses after the Government...
The council wants to better understand how people are currently getting around the region, what’s influencing their choices, and what would help those who can switch to cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable ways of travelling.
Everyone who completes the six-week survey will have the chance to enter a prize draw to win one of five £50 shopping vouchers, as a thank you for taking part.
This survey is the first step in a wider conversation about how we move around North Somerset.
Cllr Hannah Young, Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport at North Somerset Council
We want to hear from as many people as possible so we can build a clearer picture of the barriers, needs and opportunities facing our communities when it comes to making travel healthier, safer, cleaner and more connected.
We understand that meaningful change doesn’t mean asking people to give up the things they need, it’s about supporting realistic shifts in how we travel that can collectively make a big difference.
The survey is quick to complete, smartphone friendly, and open to all residents, workers, and students in North Somerset, and regular visitors to our area, aged 18 and over.

The survey will close at midnight on Sunday 17 August 2025. Residents can also complete a paper copy in their nearest library or request a paper or Easy Read copy from our customer services on 01934 888 802.
Survey responses will help to spark a wider conversation later this year about what a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable transport and travel network should look like for North Somerset.
While this survey does not focus on current schemes or highways activity, insights from it – and the upcoming engagement – will help shape future transport planning, alongside other data, feedback, and the council’s strategic priorities.
