Highway resurfacing work, upgrading footways and street lighting improvements are being carried out in High Street, Weston over the summer. 

Bath & North East Somerset Council is advising people to plan their journeys from 10 June for approximately twelve weeks as the works are carried out.

Businesses in High Street will remain open as usual with pedestrian access via footways remaining open throughout the works. 

Pedestrian access to properties will also be maintained. Local businesses and residents have been contacted directly by the council.

A full road closure is necessary and will be in place for the duration of the works. 

Bath & North East Somerset Council are upgrading the footway, street lighting and street furniture, these works should be completed by 16 August. High Street and Manor Road will be resurfaced in early September.  

The works are part of the council’s Highway Maintenance Capital Programme.
