The first two weeks of the school summer holidays saw children and young people across the region take over 274,000 free bus journeys, thanks to investment from the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority. Initial analysis suggests a significant jump in youngsters getting on the bus compared to the same time last year.
Construction of a new train station at Charfield in South Gloucestershire will shortly get underway, following project approval and £39.5 million of funding from the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority to the council.
