Consultation on emission-based parking charges in Bath goes live
A public consultation on proposals to introduce parking charges based on vehicle emissions in council-owned car parks in Bath is now live.
The proposal aims to reduce the number of higher polluting-vehicles driving into Bath and encourage a shift to public transport, walking, wheeling and cycling, reducing the public health risks posed by air pollution.
Residents are being asked to have their say in the consultation, which closes at 5pm, Thursday 3rd August. To take part in the consultation please go to Bath & North East Somerset Council’s website. The council will consider the feedback to this proposal before making the final decision about whether to implement it as council policy.
A full breakdown of the proposed charges can be seen on the council’s consultation webpage.
