New shuttle bus to help transport gap due to A432 bridge closure

A new shuttle bus will be introduced next Thursday (14 Sept) to help fill the transport gap caused by the closure of the A432/M4 overbridge.

National Highways is funding a free shuttle bus for the communities affected by the closure of their bridge. We have appointed bus operator Transpora and have agreed for the route to go to Yate Park & Ride before travelling along the A432 to the bridge closure.

It is then a short five-minute walk over the bridge to access m3 and m3x services. Residents can also use the shuttle to connect with the Y1/Y2 services for onward travel.

This free all-day service will operate every 30 minutes from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday from 14 September. This trial will initially run until the end of December.
