One-way traffic diversion during Kewstoke Primary School works
From Monday 31 July 2023, a temporary one-way traffic system will be in place on Kewstoke Road in Weston-super-Mare.
The diversion is needed to accommodate scaffolding for important roof replacement works at Kewstoke Primary School. The required scaffolding will be located beyond the school walls and onto Kewstoke Road, preventing two-way traffic from safely using the route.
The one-way system will allow single-file traffic to continue along Kewstoke Road, heading eastward from Weston-super-Mare towards Worle. You can find more details at one.network.
North Somerset Council is investing £1.6m to make these improvements to Kewstoke Primary School. The scheme includes replacing the roof, and a small extension to improve toilet facilities and the school’s offices and staffrooms. The works form part of our wider strategy to ensure every child in North Somerset is able to learn in a high-quality environment that makes them feel valued.
