West of England Metro Mayor Dan Norris has today (Tuesday 16 July) announced that another eight new WESTlocal bus services will start running in September.
Construction work to make it easier and safer to walk and cycle between the Old Market roundabout, Castle Street and Tower Hill has been completed.
Speed reduction measures, a new roundabout and virtual footway have been introduced in West Harptree as part of traffic calming works recently completed by Bath & North East Somerset Council.
South Bristol has been selected as the second Liveable Neighbourhood project in Bristol, covering the wards of Bedminster, Southville and Windmill Hill. The project aims to create a better balance between how streets are used for vehicles and people, making them safer, more pleasant, and healthier places to live.
Planning permission has been granted for a new off-road greenway, including a two-way cycle track with segregated footpath, along Alveston Hill.
The prospect of an enhanced public transport system for the West of England took a step closer to reality today (Friday 26 July 2024).
