DfT Access Fund bid proposal (17/18 – 19/20)

The West of England transport network is being transformed over the next 3 years with unprecedented levels of investment in walking, cycling and public transport that will serve to unlock growth in our Enterprise Areas and Zone and provide greater access to affordable and sustainable travel options for our residents.

To support this transformation the West of England are applying for funding from central government.

If successful in the bid the objective of Access WEST will be to work with business, communities and educational institutions to facilitate growth in the local economy through increased uptake of walking and cycling, and to break down the barriers that prevent our residents from accessing work, education and training opportunities.
