Bus services information

Park & Ride sites offer an easy, cheap and convenient way to park your car and ride a bus into Bath. The Odd Down Park & Ride site provides fully wheelchair-accessible services to both the City Centre (Service 41) and the Royal United Hospital (Service 4 Mondays to Sundays and some Public Holidays).

  • Service 41 – From Odd Down Park & Ride to SouthGate, Bath City Centre. Every 15 minutes. Journey time is about 10 minutes to SouthGate. This service can only be used by passengers who start or end their journey at the Park & Ride site. On the way into the city centre passengers can get OFF at Bear Flat, Hayesfield Park or St Mary’s Buildings, but cannot get ON at those stops (they can also stay on until the final stop at SouthGate). On the way back to the site as well as SouthGate passengers can get ON at St Mary’s Buildings, Hayesfield Park or Bear Flat, however passengers cannot get OFF at those stops, or any other stops before the Park & Ride site.
  • Service 4 – Service 4 operates Monday to Sunday (and some Public Holidays) between Odd Down Park & Ride site and Royal United Hospital via Bear Flat, Bath City Centre, and Lower Weston. Getting on or off the bus is allowed at any stop along the route.

  • Holders of English National Concessionary Passes can travel for free after 09:00 on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays
  • First day and season tickets can be used on Bath Park & Ride. Day & week multi-operator Rider tickets are also accepted
  • Any number of children aged 4 and under, and up to five children aged 5 to 15, can travel for free with each fare-paying adult.

Parking costParking is free to anyone catching the bus at the site and returning on the same day.

If you don’t catch the bus:
People parking at the Park & Ride but not catching the bus will have to pay £1 for up to 3 hours parking, or £2 for parking up to 23:59 on the same day. Payments for parking at Odd Down Park & Ride can be made online on the MiPermit website or via the MiPermit app. Parking can also be paid in coins or by card at the machines located at the Bath Park and Ride sites. The machines do not provide change.

If using the site to park your car for several days, please note that the parking charges apply for each day that you do not use the Park & Ride bus service.

For example, if you parked your car from Monday to Friday and use the bus to travel into Bath on the Monday, and return to your car on the Friday, parking charges would apply on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
