Bristol Ring Walk

Go Jauntly and Bristol City Council launch the Bristol ring. A new 33 mile circular walking route around the city.

Walking app Go Jauntly, in partnership with Bristol City Council, has today launched the Bristol Ring. It’s a brand new 33 mile circular walking route around the city, available free on the Go Jauntly app.

The Bristol Ring links green corridors, leafy parks, urban watersides and some of Bristol’s most iconic views across six carefully designed sections. Every section of the ring is accessible via public transport, making the route available to as wide an audience as possible. A collection of shorter and step-free alternative walks is also available for those who need a more accessible option.

The route was designed by Go Jauntly and Bristol City Council, with route review support from the local Ramblers.

Highlights include: Troopers Hill Nature Reserve, the Clifton Suspension Bridge, Nightingale Valley, Ashton Court Estate, Stoke Park Estate and the River Frome at Snuff Mills.

The Bristol Ring is something we’ve been working towards for a while. It’s a proper ring route around a major UK city, taking in the breadth of Bristol’s incredible green and blue spaces. We wanted to create something that felt genuinely exciting for both local walkers and visitors, and something that showed just how connected and walkable Bristol really is.

Walkers can explore the route section by section using the free Go Jauntly app, or take on the Bristol Ring Challenge by signing up to tick off all six sections and earn a badge for each one completed.

To celebrate the launch, Go Jauntly will be hosting a free guided walk of Section 4 on 15th May 2026.
