The city’s hugely popular walking festival is back!

Walk to Work Day is the first Friday of April every year for more information visit our dedicated page

Bristol’s walking festival has been running for over 10 years and regularly attracts over 7,500 attendees yearly with a wide variety of walking related events and activities, personal challenges, and self-guided walking routes.

So, whether you like historical tours, nature walks, exploring street art, walking sports, or you just want to get fit and enjoy some fresh air, you’ll find something to enjoy. The mostly free walks and activities are for all ages, all backgrounds and all levels of fitness.

It’s really important we get feedback from those taking part, so if you complete a walk during Bristol Walk Fest, please head to the website to complete the survey.

Bristol Walk Fest is coordinated by Active Ageing Bristol and hosted by our lead partner Age UK Bristol with funding from Bristol City Council. Our sponsors are Bristol Ramblers. Supporters are Bristol Walking Alliance, Ramblers Bristol, Go Jauntly, Living Streets, Visit Bristol and WEST.

As part of Walkfest 2026 we are launching the fantastic Bristol Ring Walk see details here
