  • Bought on any bus operating in that Rider ticket area – including Park & Ride services.

AvonRider (West of England area)

Multi-operator all day bus ticket valid in Bath, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

Bus Operators that accept and sell the AvonRider

AvonRider is a multi-operator ticket that gives you virtually unlimited travel on buses in Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. It covers the area of the former County of Avon.

Within the AvonRider area, you can buy tickets on buses from the following operators:

AvonRider tickets may be used on all bus services operated by the companies listed above within the AvonRider area except Airport Flyer A1, Airport Flyer A3, tour buses, express coaches and services for special events. On service Bath Bus Co A4, AvonRider is not valid between Highridge Common and Bristol Airport.

AvonRider tickets are valid for travel across the zone boundary on service D1 as far as Westbury (Haynes Road), on services 271, 272 and 273 as far as Bowerhill (Kingfisher Drive) and on service X31 as far as Chippenham (Bus Station). AvonRider tickets may be purchased by passengers boarding these services from those places inward to Bath.

There is no limit to the number of journeys you can make in the zone with an AvonRider ticket during the day but you must show it to the bus driver each time you use it.

You can buy a AvonRider ticket on the bus from the driver or by loading it onto a Travelcard.

Buying a Rider ticket using Travelcards

  • Load onto a Travelcard (participating operators only). Once loaded onto the card, the same period of validity as above applies.
  • Buy using sQuid balance on a Travelcard (participating operators only).
  • Adult Rider tickets can be bought and renewed online.
  • Student/child Rider Tickets are not available on Travelcards.

BathRider

Multi-operator all day bus ticket valid within the Bath urban area.

BathRider is a multi-operator ticket that gives you virtually unlimited travel on buses in the Bath urban area. The BathRider Zone covers the area roughly within a three mile radius of the city centre. This is virtually the same area as First’s Bath Zone.

WestonRider

WestonRider is a multi-operator ticket that gives you virtually unlimited travel on buses in the Weston-super-Mare urban area. It covers that part of North Somerset south of the River Yeo and west of the M5 Motorway plus the bus stops on the A370 to the east of the M5 at Puxton Park.
