New parking restrictions for Weston residents.
A road in North Somerset is set to receive improved access for a recently upgraded bus route in Weston.
As part of the council’s Bus Service Improvement Plan, and to support existing bus services, parking restrictions have been proposed along the new number 6 bus route through Station Road in Worle.
The area has experienced access problems due to bottlenecks created by parked vehicles which make it difficult for buses to negotiate the road. To prevent this problem, parking restrictions have been proposed to allow easier access for the bus.
The upgraded number 6 service between Weston bus interchange and Worle Retail Park, via Upper Bristol Road, Worle High Street and Mead Vale, will run every 30 minutes during the day and every 60 minutes evenings and Sundays.
The lines will be installed by the end of September.
