Travel hubs bring transport and facilities together in one convenient location as part of a new trial for the West of England – aiming to make it easier to travel seamlessly and sustainably using buses, e-bikes and e-scooters.
Ten trial sites have been created at the places below across north Bristol and South Gloucestershire close to bus stops and local shops.
Each one has designated parking for e-scooters and bikes making it simpler to connect with local bus services along with a number of local facilities including:
Local residents helped to design each travel hub by suggesting what facilities would be most useful.
Maps and directional signage will be added shortly to help people navigate the local area, as well as colourful art inspired by the local community – making each travel hub unique.
Find out what’s available at each site in the table below.

Since our trial started, we’ve been looking at how people use the travel hubs and which facilities are the most useful. You can get involved by taking part in our online survey and let us know what you think of the new facilities.
Our travel hubs are funded by UK Government.

Check out others in your local area.
In March 2022, we asked local residents what facilities would be most useful for a travel hub in their area. Now those ideas are being used – individual secure cycle lockers are being installed at the two Park & Ride locations, and there will be water fountains at others.
Local people have also helped to create colourful artwork at most sites working with artists.
Each hub will be in place for at least 12 months. Views, suggestions and feedback will be collected from people who use the sites as well as local residents and businesses. If well received, then the sites will become permanent.
Tell us what you think – you can make anonymous suggestions and feedback about our travel hubs sites by completing the online survey. This can also be accessed via a QR code at each site.
We’ll also be out and about occasionally collecting the views of people at the travel hubs.
The overall feedback will be shared with the Department for Transport as well as others developing sites like these nationwide. This will help improve the design of any future sites.
