These are the guidelines for all our Travelwest social media channels.

Facebook

Our Facebook page can be found here.

The main purpose of our Facebook page is to provide generic travel information for the West of England, this includes, but is not limited to, traffic alerts, bus and rail disruption alerts. We may also share information about wider sustainable transport projects and campaigns.

Be advised that due to the nature of our website we do not have the resources to provide customer service via Facebook for the whole of the West of England. Therefore we will, in most cases, advise you to contact the right team or organisation and, when possible, will provide you with direct contact details. We reserve the right to not provide any additional service via Facebook.

We will endeavour to reply to user queries via Facebook on business days between the hours of 7am and 3pm, but this may not always be possible. In case of any urgent query please see our Help Centre.

We encourage open discussion on our social platforms, with some reasonable rules:

  • We reserve the right to address factual errors.
  • We reserve the right to reply to comments, posts on our wall and private messages only when we feel it’s appropriate
  • If we disagree with other opinions, we will do so respectfully and ask that you do the same
  • You may not post anything that is spam or that is abusive, profane, or defamatory toward a person, entity, belief, or symbol

While we enjoy and support open discussion, we reserve the right to delete comments at our discretion, including:

  • links to websites that are not Travelwest
  • duplicate comments or posts on the wall
  • comments on page posts that are unrelated to the content we are sharing
  • any posts directing people to a website organising legal action or any kind of petition
  • any posts directing people to a website requesting donations for any purpose
  • content that violates anyone’s privacy
  • comments that are inflammatory towards other users
  • anything that is spam or that is abusive, profane, or defamatory toward a person, entity, belief, or symbol

We also have the right to ban users. We will try our best to avoid this, but it may happen if:

  • a person is bullying or trolling our employees or other users
  • a person is using abusive, insulting or offensive language towards our employees or other users
  • a person is continuously posting repetitive or spam comments
  • a person is violating the community guidelines explained above

If everyone follows the guidelines above we can build open, meaningful and respectful discussions which will be pleasant for everyone.
