Time restrictions temporarily relaxed for Concessionary Travelcards

Time restrictions on the use of concessionary bus passes have been temporarily relaxed.

This means that passes are valid at all times from Monday, 25 January 2021, to Friday, 16 July 2021, in Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

Bus service information

Park & Ride sites offer an easy, cheap and convenient way to park your car and ride a bus into the centre of Bath. The Lansdown Park & Ride site provides a fully wheelchair accessible daily service into the City Centre.

Service 31 operates from Lansdown Park & Ride to Milsom Street, Bath City Centre, every 12-15 minutes, Monday to Sunday and including some Public Holidays. Journey times are about 10 minutes.

This service operates as a regular bus service and getting on or off the bus is allowed at any stop on Lansdown Road (in the city centre the stop to use is Milsom Street (Sg)) (see note at bottom of Fares table regards to intermediate stops).

The fares below apply only to services 21 (Newbridge Park & Ride), 31 (Lansdown Park & Ride) and 41 (Odd Down Park & Ride). The operator’s regular bus fares apply to services 4 and 42 (Odd Down Park & Ride).

Parking at the sites is free, you only pay the bus fare.

You can buy some tickets on bus using cash or contactless, or use the First Bus app. Travelwest Travelcards are also available for some ticket types.

  • Holders of English National Concessionary Passes can travel for free after 09:00 on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
  • Up to 5 children (under 16) can travel for free with each fare-paying adult.
  • First day and season tickets can be used on Bath Park & Ride. Day & week multi-operator Rider tickets are also accepted.

  • The entrances to the Park & Rides sites are locked after the last buses have operated but the exits are left open to enable vehicles to be retrieved later. However, lighting is switched off after the last buses have returned and any vehicles are left inside entirely at the owner’s risk.
